K1 is solid

Got the AEKE K1. Delivery took about a week. Setup was easy. The AI training sessions are effective. Overall, a good home gym. No complaints.

Good value with the bundle

I was looking for a home gym solution and AEKE's K1 system came up. I compared it to a few others and decided on this one mostly because of the bundle savings they offered. I got the K1 with the Smart Barbell and some Smart Dumbbells, which saved me a few hundred bucks. The free shipping was a nice bonus too, especially for such a large item. The setup was pretty straightforward, and I've been using the AI Personal Training Sessions. For the price I paid, considering what similar systems cost, I feel like I got a really solid deal. It's definitely worth the investment for someone on a budget who still wants a quality setup.

Decent gym, a few quirks

I bought the AEKE Smart Home Gym K1 and the AEKE Fitness Bench B1. Delivery took 8 days to reach my place in Utah, which was a bit longer than I expected, but not terrible. Installation was manageable, though the instructions could have been a little clearer on a couple of steps. The equipment itself is well-built and the AI coaching is genuinely helpful for tracking progress and suggesting new exercises. My main gripe is that some of the workout programs, especially the Yoga classes, feel a bit limited compared to dedicated apps I've used. Still, for the core strength training, it's a solid system and a good investment for home workouts. I'd recommend it, but just be aware it's not perfect in every category.

Still impressed with AEKE

This is my third purchase from AEKE. I originally bought the K1 system last year, then added the Smart Dumbbells a few months ago, and this time I got the AEKE Heart Rate Monitor. Each experience has been consistently good. The monitor integrated seamlessly with my existing K1 setup, just like I expected. Their customer service was helpful when I had a question about the Wall Mount Kit on my first order, and the delivery times have always been reliable. It's why I keep coming back – I know what to expect, and they deliver every time. The quality of their equipment and the app experience remains top-notch.

Is AEKE legit? Seen some ads but it almost sounds too good to be true compared to Tonal.

D Daisy Nguyen 1 month ago

Yeah, it's legit. I've had my K1 for 6 months and it's been awesome. Customer service is responsive too.

E Elena 1 month ago

Totally legit. It's a real company, not some scam. The tech is pretty solid.

Hey guys, thinking about getting the K1. How long does shipping usually take for these? I'm in New York City.

C Cleo 2 months ago

Mine took about 2 weeks to get to me in upstate NY. I think NYC might be a bit quicker maybe.

T Troy 2 months ago

Got my K1 in about 10 days, I'm in Brooklyn. They use a pretty decent freight service.

what are the dimensions for the K1? trying to figure out if it will fit in my spare room with low ceilings.

M Mike B. 1 month ago

The K1 itself isn't super tall, I think around 6.5 feet? But you also need some overhead clearance for movements, especially with the bar.

A Alex V. 1 month ago

It's about 80 inches tall, I believe. Check their product page, they usually have exact specs. Make sure you leave room for actual exercise too, not just the unit itself.

Are there any student discounts for the K1? My university email qualifies for a bunch of stuff.

C Chris C. 2 months ago

Yeah, I got one! Check their site, there's usually a link for student/teacher/first responder discounts.

G Gwen K. 2 months ago

I think they do, but I don't remember if it applies to the whole K1 or just accessories. Worth checking their specific discount page.

Can you actually use the K1 without the subscription? Or is it basically a paperweight then?

S Sophie 2 months ago

You can do some basic stuff but the AI coaching and all the good workouts are behind the paywall. It's kinda like Peloton, you need the sub to really use it.

P Phil T. 2 months ago

Nah, you need the membership for most of the features. It's not totally useless without it, but you're missing out on the whole smart gym experience.

Does AEKE do returns easily? Just in case it doesn't fit my space or I change my mind.

C Chris Whitfield 1 month ago

I returned an accessory and it was pretty straightforward, just had to pay for shipping back. For the K1 itself, I think there's a specific process, probably a restocking fee too.

T Todd Okafor 1 month ago

Yeah returns were easy, did it last month. Just make sure you keep the original packaging if you can, makes it way simpler.

Can I combine a referral code with one of those holiday sales they have sometimes? Or is it usually one or the other?

C Cleo H. 1 month ago

Usually it's one or the other, from what I've seen. They're pretty clear about not stacking codes during sales events.

S Sam Hughes 1 month ago

I tried to stack during Black Friday once and it didn't work. The system just picks the best discount for you.

I'm looking at the K1 vs. Vitruvian. Anyone have experience with both or can say why AEKE is better?

R Ryan W. 2 months ago

I looked at both. AEKE's AI coaching seemed more advanced to me, and the all-in-one form factor was better for my space. Vitruvian is good too though, depends on what you prioritize.

D Daisy B. 2 months ago

AEKE's smart barbell and dumbbells felt more natural to me than Vitruvian's setup. Plus, the screen on the K1 makes a big difference for guided workouts.
